Berlin, Sunday 29 June 2008
29-6 is my first real day in Berlin but is the final day of hope for millions of fan in Germany. I should say that comes day when Germany National Football team takes on Spain in the final of EURO 2008.
A beautiful day in Berlin comes early in the morning when one of my friend invites me to Brandenburg Gate, waiting for the final match with some real German fan.
At 1pm, we decide to go 7 hours before it get started. Is it too early to ‘book’ a place? I am afraid not!
Let’s have a beer!
If you are late, poor you are. The only way you should do by then is just go back or find a bar to see the match. Authorities are forced to close the Berlin fan due to overcapacity 3 hours beforethe kick off.
For the joyful of Ballack, let’s have a beer
Friends are everywhere in the open-air football big screen viewable area which is called “Fan Fest”. By 6 pm, quite a half millions of fan already gather around the Fan Fest. I do say it is hard to find a good place.
Shoulder to shoulder, painted-faces to colourful faces, they are chatting, laughing, singing and share every minute of their emotion. It’s such a huge anticipation. I am among thousands of noisy fan and how about a beer for the match!
Let’s have a futher view
The match started as it happened on Tv. Spain may have won. Congratulate to them!
Champagne, firework and beer even need time to celebrate. But at least I definitively will never forget the atmotphere here in Berlin.
Hope you enjoy the photos i took from Brandenburg Gate, Berlin on that remarkable day!
Teen-painters are everywhere
Fans are always great!
and oh so sweet
so colourful
1-0 and the Title goes to Spain
Just leave me alone
me too
If U wanna cry, cry on my shoulder
If U feeling sad, i’ll share for you
But Life goes on and is beautiful
